This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on Mechanical Systems Integration.In this role you will:- Serve as an integration lead for different Mechanical subsystems- Lead the definition of mechanical system interfaces- Support the requirement decomposition and allocation process with the Requirements team- Drive anomaly investigations to closure- Lead the definition, analysis, and recommendation of Trade Study options related to the mechanical systems- Perform data and document reviews and provide feedback for technical and program documentation- Support systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution and find opportunities for build flow and test efficienciesThis position is contingent on program award, expected in 3Q 2026.Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.The information below includes the standard job description for this positionPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.Basic QualificationsMissile or space segment architecture, design, assembly, integration, and test experience from component through system level with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems EngineeringSpacecraft integration expertise in multiple spacecraft subsystemsExperience in technical leadership role and driving issues/challenges to closureFamiliarity with Systems Engineering and mission assurance fundamentals necessary for delivering the highest reliability space systemsSkilled in Creo CAD modeling and CAD control with experience reading/interpreting mechanical detail design drawingsGeometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning expertiseExperience with mechanical analysis and analytic tools (Creo, CreoView, MathCAD, etc.)Ability to obtain a DOD SECRET Security Clearance. Thus US Citizenship is requiredDesired SkillsBachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a closely related fieldPrior experience as spacecraft or mechanical subsystem/component CPE12+ years' engineering experience- Systems Engineering experience in one or more Systems Integration functions including:a.)
