Manufacturing Technician

Manufacturing Technician, 6 to 6/Alternating Days-NightsSummary: Perform tasks directly related to the production duties involved with processing raw materials, green forming billets, and processing carbon billets to be used for graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials. Depending on the department a Process Technician will work with the following; conversion furnace, impregnating vessel, purity process, graphitizer, bake furnace and other equipment and processes related to the production of carbon and graphite.Primary Responsibilities and Duties:Safely and efficiently operate various manufacturing machines and equipment, including but not limited to high temperature furnaces, bandsaws, mills, sanders, air mills, forklifts, and cranesConduct quality checks at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure products meet established quality standards and specificationsIdentify and resolve minor equipment malfunctions and participate in routine maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain equipment in optimal conditionManage raw materials and finished products, ensuring they are properly stored, handled, and transported to maintain product integrityMaintain accurate records of production activities, including data on machine operation, product output, and quality control checksAdhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleaguesCollaborate with other team members, including engineers and production supervisors, to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvementFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality productsIdentify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and increased productivityMay be tasked with preventative maintenance, housekeeping or other duties;Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills):High School Diploma or equivalentMechanical and/or technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferredAstute attention to detail to drive Safety and QualityAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environmentAbility to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Must be able to pass respiratory fit mask testExperience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plusAbility to safely operate forkliftAbility to read, write, and understand and effectively do basic mathDependability with flexibility to work shifts, over-time, and weekends to support business needsCandidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control lawsPhysical Requirements:Completion of pre-employment physical requiredPhysical requirements of the job include:Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. as needed.Capability to ascend and descend ladders using a three-point grip.Frequent tasks will include squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing.Occasional work may be required in confined workspaces.Ability to perform hand squeezes requiring force up to 30 lbs.Performing repetitive tasks or motions for extended periods.Maintaining balance and coordination, especially when working on elevated platforms or in areas with uneven surfaces.Capability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods, often in varying environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, or humid environments).Adequate visual acuity to perform detailed inspections or precision work.Ability to wear a full mask respirator and maintain a clean-shaven appearance to ensure proper fitting of the mask.What We Offer:At Entegris, we invest in providing opportunity to our employees and promote from within.
