The QA Engineer is responsible for assisting the Senior Director in developing the quality system following corporate policies, goals and objectives and the requirements of AS9100.Process and Quality AssuranceEnhance Supplier Quality Culture by leading or participating in process improvement projects to further develop the quality programs and procedures - Setting our Global Partner Network up for successUtilizes appropriate quality tools (lean and Sigma) to help resolve issues related to non-conformances and Customer RMA'sManages supplier related NCR/SCAR/CAR activities to ensure timely administration of activities and recordsEnsure compliance with company policies, practices, procedures and work rules to support and maintain an AS9100-compliant Quality ManagementAnalyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actionsProblem solve and follow up on troubled orders to improve supplier qualityApply engineering knowledge on supplier manufacturing to ensure quality hardware meets customer requirementsAssess the impact of manufactured part rejections; communicate with suppliers to work through problems and resolve caseParticipate in QA and RMA Meetings (Live Reviews)Oversee internal production of products from a quality perspectiveMonitor and review quality metrics for publicationAssist with onsite Customer AuditsSupport Quality Management System requirementsAid Quality Control Lab as necessaryTeamwork, Collaboration and SafetyInterface with Design Engineering, Customer Care, Quality, Sales, and Shipping teams to ensure manufacturing processes are capable of customer quality and satisfactionEffectively communicate with all key stakeholders, including suppliers, internal/external customers, and leadershipParticipate and provide input on initiatives to simplify and automate complex processesPerform all work in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies and proceduresWork with internal customers to implement quality measuresSupport all Continuous Improvement activitiesQualificationsBachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a Technical related field is preferredMinimum of 4-6 years of experience in engineering, quality role, or equivalentMinimum of 4-6 years of experience in supplier-facing role or equivalentWorking knowledge of and/or education, skills, and experience associated with manufacturing processes, engineering drawing requirementsCapable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problemsA self-starter who can drive actions to completionStrong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environmentAble to multitask, meet deadlines and support all supplier quality field activitiesExperience with DFMEA/PFMEA and DFM/DFQStrong manufacturing knowledgeAble to read and interpret CAD Models & DrawingsStrong time management/project management capabilitiesUnderstanding of Six Sigma methodologiesKnowledge of Process Certification/Process RobustnessSuperior analytic and articulation skillsPreferred QualificationsSix Sigma Black Belt CertificationASQ CertificationEducated in statistics / BIG DataUse of GD&T quality lab equipmentFamiliar with Zendesk, Asana, SolidWorks, TableauXometry is an equal opportunity employer.
