Position Patient Services Representative (PSR) – Check In/Check Out at Carmel OBGYN Noblesville, IN . Office hours: Full time, Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, directing them to the appropriate waiting area. Complete check-in and check-out duties for appointments. Effectively collect and record copayments as required. Verify patient insurance eligibility and clearly communicate benefit limitations. Perform registration for new or existing patients and activate patient files. Notify appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room. Route phone calls promptly via direct transfer, paging, voicemail, or redirect as needed. Retrieve and route messages from the answering service. Assist with scheduling patient appointments and follow-up visits. Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of patient encounters. Provide additional support to patients and medical staff as needed. Collaborate with clinical colleagues, management, and other staff to ensure efficient practice operations. Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies (including HIPAA & OSHA). Adhere to practice policies, procedures, and protocols. Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Demonstrate commitment to the organization’s mission, values, and ethical standards in daily activities. Contribute to a positive work environment aligned with organizational goals. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory N/A Skills Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and patients efficiently. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Highly adaptable and able to adjust to changing priorities and conditions. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage at satellite locations, as needed. Experience and Education High School diploma or equivalent required. Medical Receptionist/Patient Service Representative experience preferred, but not required.
