You'll continuously cut, prepare, tray, and merchandise fresh product on a daily basis, while under the supervision of a Meat Cutter I. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:Production:Cuts, trims, trays, scrapes meat for display, according to company standards, and while partnered with a Meat Cutter IFill products; chickens, chubs, seasoned meats as neededOperates grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicerWeighs/wraps/labels product packages for saleRotates product in meat cooler, sales floor; ensures proper storage practicesConsistently communicates to ensure the highest quality and freshness standards are metPractices safety awareness; safely performs meat cutting duties at all timesAssists in technical areas as neededCustomer Service:Provides great customer service by cutting meat products and labeling appropriatelyAnswers customers questions regarding products and assists them with selectionsFood Safety / Sanitation:Cleans and sanitizes display cases; properly operates/maintains equipmentComplies with department/store operating procedures and federal/state regulationsThe responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
