DEPARTMENT: 37040 - Radiology Marco Island WORK TYPE: Full Time The Marco Island Urgent Care is a 12 bed walk-in urgent care clinic open from 7:30am-7:30pm 7 days a week. The Sonographer demonstrates competence in the area of ultrasound and vascular technology. This position should be readily capable of recognizing normal from abnormal, and significant for insignificant anomalies, anatomical structures and pathology. Demonstrates competence in OB/GYN, abdominal and neonatal (head, hip, spine, pylorus) imaging correctly identifying pathology and structures as required Performs all Critical Care request within departments time guidelines. Demonstrates competence in Indirect Arterial testing of the Upper and Lower Extremities to include PVR's (Pulse Volume Recordings), Segmental Doppler Waveforms, and Segmental Pressures pre & post exercise. Performs all Critical Care request within departments time guidelines. Demonstrates support and follows policies for the Student Program. Demonstrates competency in all procedures within scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of patients served; Demonstrates competency using the Radiographic Information System. Demonstrates competency in Departmental communication (telephone, pagers and intercom). Maintains clean and well stocked work area. Assists in training and orientation of new employees as needed. Meets and exceeds the expectations of patients and all other customers we serve. Understands the principles and concepts of Performance Improvement. Looks for opportunities and solutions for process improvements and seeks to improve job skills. High School or GED required. Satisfactory completion of a formal Ultrasound program in an approved school. Basic computer knowledge: ability to operate a PC, create/save/print documents, input data
