Required Qualifications:

• Current Exceptional Children (EC) licensure for North Carolina
• Experience or strong interest in working with K-2 students
• Solid understanding of special education best practices, particularly in resource settings
• Proficiency with ECATS system and special education paperwork
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
• Effective communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 24 students, offering both pull-out support for reading and push-in strategies for math
• Monitor and document student progress with interim reports every five weeks
• Complete required documentation utilizing the ECATS system
• Respond to new referrals and participate in meetings as needed
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Foster positive relationships and advocate for each student’s academic journey
