Financial Analyst Establish and maintain monthly financial forecast. Collect, organize, and validate financial and operational data from multiple sources. Perform basic variance analysis to identify differences between actual results, budgets, and forecasts. Assist with preparing and analyzing various financial reports and metrics. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes. Assist with rolling up financial data into the annual company forecast. Follow established accounting policies and procedures, and internal controls. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management. Continuously improve reporting processes and identify opportunities to automate or streamline financial analysis. This position description outlines the core duties for this role, but it is not all-inclusive. Responsibilities may shift based on contract requirements, mission needs, or organizational objectives. Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business, economics, engineering, finance or a related field. 1+ year of related professional experience. Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility. This position is primarily remote; however, candidates must be comfortable coming into the office on an as-needed basis, approximately once per month. Preferred General Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Extensive experience using MS Office, specifically Excel. Prior experience using ERP systems. Prior experience using Power BI reporting or other data analytics software. Experience with UNANET and/or US Government pricing/contracts. Why UNCOMN?
