Quality Engineer II

Medtronic seeks a Quality Engineer II to lead manufacturing quality improvements and First Time Quality initiatives across regulated operations. The role involves cross-functional project management, process risk reduction, and compliance support in a hybrid-flex position based in Fridley, Minnesota, requiring four days onsite and 25% travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects to reduce factory escape risks across internal and external manufacturing sites
- Eliminate rework and reprocessing activities to improve process efficiency and stability
- Define, implement, and enhance First Time Quality programs, metrics, and governance processes
- Partner with manufacturing teams to embed quality controls into new production lines
- Support development and maintenance of compliant, scalable Quality Management Systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years relevant experience, or Master's degree
- Experience supporting quality improvement initiatives in regulated industry
- Ability to analyze process performance and use data to drive improvements
- Working knowledge of quality systems, compliance requirements, or continuous improvement programs
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing preferred
- Familiarity with First Time Quality, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required for non-Principal roles
