Position Overview

Join our opening team at Gong Cha South Boston as a Crew Member / Barista! You’ll prepare bubble tea, specialty drinks, serve customers, keep the store clean and organized, and help create a fun, welcoming experience for our local community.

Job Responsibilities

• Preparing Gong Cha beverages according to company recipes and standards
• Providing friendly, efficient, and welcoming customer service
• Operating the point-of-sale system and accurately processing customer orders
• Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food-safety standards
• Preparing ingredients and restocking supplies
• Following Gong Cha operational procedures and brand standards
• Supporting opening and closing procedures
• Working collaboratively with Shift Leads and other team members
• Completing required Gong Cha training and food-safety requirements
• Performing other duties reasonably associated with the Crew Member position

Job Specifications

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment.
• Must be able to spend 90% of working time standing.
• Will be required to use all sensory capabilities such as: vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking.
• Will be required to use physical capabilities such as: walking, bending, kneeling, handling, hand flexibility, reaching, squatting, crawling, lifting, climbing, and stooping.
• Must be able to carry loads greater than 25 pounds, and be able to transport up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with our guests and team members in the primary language of the restaurant, specific to location.
• Must have reliable transportation and access to a working phone number.
• Flexibility on covering other work shift’s if necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Adaptive to change and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Retail Food Safety and Sanitation fundamentals – ServSafe or ANSI Certified program Preferred
• Must be organized while having the ability to multi-task.
