WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS Required Qualifications Experience : Experience forecasting and presenting weathercasts - 2+ years, working knowledge of TV weather graphics systems Education : Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or a Bachelor's degree plus a Certificate in Meteorology Language: Write and speak English and Spanish fluently Technical Skills : Knowledge of synoptic meteorology, tropical and radar Skills : Ability to anticipate situations, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities Abilities : Demonstrate enthusiasm in dealing with breaking news Travel Ability : Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community Schedule : Ability to work different shifts or longer shifts due to 'breaking news' and severe weather emergencies.
