Job Title: Travel RN - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 - 23:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year of current hospital ED experience License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC, CPI Blue Card Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role: - At least 1 year of current hospital ED experience - BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC certifications - CPI Blue Card Description: This position is for a Travel RN in the Emergency Department. The unit has 24 beds and a diverse staff of 45. Staffing includes day and night shift RNs, charge nurses, unit clerks, and EMTs. Patient ratios are set at 4:1, with a maximum of 5:1 during surge situations. Equipment includes GE monitors, and the EMR system is Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include port access, IV start, venipuncture, nasal wash, and point of care testing. Candidates will be expected to perform EKGs and Foley placements. The ideal candidate is caring, compassionate, and friendly. Effective communication skills and a willingness to go above and beyond are essential. Preferred candidates may have additional certifications such as CEN and CPEN, along with pediatric emergency department experience.
