Social Media/PR Internship

Role Description This Social Media/PR Internship is a hybrid role based in San Diego, CA, with work-from-home flexibility. The intern will support the planning, creation, and scheduling of social media content across various platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement. Daily tasks may include drafting posts, assisting with basic graphic or video content, monitoring social channels, and responding to comments under guidance. The intern will also help with PR activities such as compiling media lists, drafting simple press materials, tracking coverage, and supporting campaign reporting. This internship offers hands-on experience in a health technology environment and opportunities to collaborate with marketing and communications team members.

Please note that this internship is unpaid and only available to students who are seniors in college and looking to get hands-on experience for their resume.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation skills to support campaigns and engagement.
• Foundational understanding of Digital Marketing and Marketing principles in a business or healthcare-related context.
• Strong Communication skills, including clear writing, professional email etiquette, and comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Enrollment in or completion of coursework in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
• Basic familiarity with major social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and analytics or scheduling tools is an advantage.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a hybrid work setting.
• Demonstrated interest in healthcare, wellness, or health technology is a plus.
