This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience.

For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
o Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
o Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This role requires acute pediatric nursing experience with infants as that is the majority of our pediatric home care patients. The position is structured as five 8-hour days per week, with an on-call commitment of one weekend per month. The typical schedule is days, generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a lunch break. Start and end times may be somewhat flexible based on clinician availability and patient care needs.

Summary:

Position functions as a Home Care RN and applies expertise of pediatric nursing to home care patients where care plan indicates such intervention is appropriate, and provides support and assessment to newborns and mothers under the grant-funded program. Employee serves in a consultant capacity to co-workers when increased knowledge of this specialty will enable the co-worker to provide improved patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program. Position requires a minimum of one year of acute pediatric nursing experience.
2. License/Certifications: State of Maine licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current, valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy. Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers.
3. Experience: N/A
