What You'll Do Set up, adjust, and operate CNC Lathe machine tools and many specialized or advanced variations of tools to preform precision machining Calculate dimensions and tolerance using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process Check output for conformance to specifications for quality assurance and maintain inventory of completed products Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, and foreign matter. Maintain a safe and clean work station Ability to apply concepts of basic math and basic PC skills Troubleshoot work-related problems using job knowledge, experience, and communication with others Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture Work safely at all times by following safety rules, regulations, and PPE requirements Stay alert to unsafe conditions and report them immediately Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area All other duties as assigned What You'll Need Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills Ability to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces Basic computer skills Ability to work a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs Must be able to learn quickly and multitask Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Some overtime will be required Your Education High School Diploma or GED required We are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
