Job Description

The Temporary Project Engineer will support the execution of capital projects at the Horseheads plant. This role involves working closely with plant leadership and engineering teams to assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of infrastructure-related projects. The position provides additional engineering support during a defined period of increased project activity.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of capital projects, including scope development, layout reviews, and implementation activities.
• Develop, review, and update drawings using AutoCAD to support project planning and execution.
• Assist with coordination across disciplines related to plant infrastructure systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP).
• Participate in site walks, equipment layouts, and installation planning.
• Support documentation, tracking, and reporting of capital project progress.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, contractors, and engineering resources to ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of plant infrastructure systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting capital projects in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and project execution practices.

Work Environment

The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. The role requires working in a manufacturing or industrial environment, emphasizing safety and efficiency in project execution. The dress code and specific work attire requirements are not specified.

This is a Contract position based out of Horseheads, NY.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Horseheads,NY.
