Job Summary:
Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, ensuring comfort and satisfaction. Explain procedures in simple terms, perform ultrasound procedures, and monitor patients throughout the process. Set up equipment promptly, review prior reports and images, and ensure proper imaging techniques are employed. Maintain records of exams performed and manage inventory and supplies for the assigned area. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

 

• Experienced Sonographer capable of performing high-quality Adult Echo studies as per ASE & IAC Guidelines in a premiere cardiac center.
• Dedicated inpatient echo work experience with a minimum of 200 documented inpatient cases in echocardiography.
• Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
• Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
• Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and respond quickly to critical findings.
• Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from AHA.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• TEE and Stress Echo experience.
• Familiarity with 3D echo imaging.
• Experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols.
• Maintaining ICAEL-accreditation echo lab standards.
• Experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.
• Familiarity with Epic hospital information system.

Additional Information:

 

• Techs must have TAVR TTE experience scanning pre-TAVR treatment patients with critical aortic stenosis, which must be reflected on their resume.
• Only candidates with experience scanning severe to critical aortic stenosis patients who will be receiving a TAVR device will be considered.
• Required education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred education: Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program.
