Adult Day Program Assistant

Adult Day Program Assistant Location: Burnsville, MN Schedule Casual hours Flexible schedule No weekends Benefits include retirement monies, cash out wages before payday, and early wage access Responsibilities Provide direct care for the Adult Day Program participants. Prepare, implement, and clean up daily programs such as crafts, woodworking, games, and music. Perform routine personal care and grooming, including baths. Assist identified participants with toileting needs. Communicate participants’ needs and individual plans of care to staff. Report any problems, progress, and observations to the Director. Assist the Director of Adult Day with participants’ individual case management. Maintain monthly charting, quarterly care plans, and health updates. Maintain a clean and safe environment for participants. Ensure a safe area for participants. Maintain adequate supplies for cleaning and caring for participants. Required Current driver’s license in good standing. 0 to 1 year of previous direct care experience. Preferred CNA experience preferred but direct care experience in lieu of certification will be considered. Experience with Windows/Microsoft applications. Customer service skills. Ability to interact and communicate empathetically and effectively with clients, families, and colleagues. Interpersonal skills; experience assisting with ADLs.
