Job Summary: Our Acute Care Program includes the Emergency Services Assessment Center as well as Crisis Stabilization Units for both Children and Adults and provides invaluable assistance for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Key Responsibilities Completing Psychiatric Evaluations under the Baker Act and Daily Rounds/Medication Management, Discharge Planning, Admission and Discharge Orders, etc. Providing coverage for scheduled shifts and/or on-call/weekend coverage for Crisis Stabilization 30-bedded Adult unit and 15-bed Child Crisis Stabilization Unit. Completing physical examinations for CSU, Detox, and Substance Use Disorder Residential as needed. Working closely with DLC Psychiatrists and other providers, receiving supervision and guidance as everyone participates as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Qualifications Current PSYCH APRN certification as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) = Required At least 1 year of related post Master's Experience = Required Basic knowledge of Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health treatment principles and techniques (including Medication Assisted Treatment) = Required Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, (General Information can be found HERE), Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
