Sourcing Manager

LICO Materials Private Limited is a Recycling Company with a focus on recycling end of life lithium-ion batteries. LICO is creating a sustainable circular economy solution in the lithium‑ion battery supply chain for the recovery of critical materials. Lithium, cobalt, manganese, and nickel are to be given back to battery manufacturers to give the materials a second life. Job Overview To lead international sourcing and import of lithium‑ion battery scrap, e‑waste, and black mass from the US market into India, ensuring cost efficiency, regulatory compliance (India + US), and uninterrupted feedstock supply for recycling operations. Identify and onboard suppliers of: Lithium‑ion battery scrap (EV, consumer electronics) E‑waste (laptops, mobiles, ESS systems) Build Long‑Term Partnerships OEMs in the US Recyclers in the US Aggregators in the US Dismantlers in the US Waste management companies in the US Develop sourcing strategies aligned with volume and cost targets Facilitate the integrity, confidentiality, and security of all financial records to safeguard from potential cyber security threats. Follow the uniform formats in which financial information and reports are created and stored. Report financial results to the Finance Controller. Stakeholder Management Internal production & operations teams for feedstock planning Finance for cost control and payment cycles EPR / Sales teams for alignment on sourcing vs obligation demand Manage vendor performance and conduct periodic reviews Volume & Cost Targets Achieve monthly/quarterly sourcing targets (tonnage) Drive cost optimization and margin improvement Ensure consistent supply to avoid production disruptions Key Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Environmental Science MBA preferred Experience 6–12 years in sourcing/procurement within: Battery recycling E‑waste management Metal / scrap trading Lithium‑ion supply chain Experience dealing with US‑based suppliers or international sourcing is mandatory, extensive travelling in US / Canada. #J-18808-Ljbffr
