Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Geriatric Psychiatry team on a Full-Time basis.
The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units. The RN maintains accountability for their own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing assigned aspects of patient care in accordance with the established plan of care and under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. Delegated assignments to this position will be based on orientation completion and competency proof.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to perform essential functions of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, and evaluation
• Effectively enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices
• Maintains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practices
• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues
• Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
• Integrates research findings into clinical practice

Position Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing or Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
• Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing or State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Practical Nurse and in good standing
• Current BLS certification at hire
• Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
• Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills - Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

Work Shift:

• Full-Time, .9 FTE
• 32 - 40 hours per week
• Scheduled Days: Variable
• Scheduled Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
• 8 hour shifts
• No Weekends
• Every 3rd Holiday
