Clinical Practice Details
CRNAs will provide anesthesia coverage across a broad range of specialties including:

• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• OB
• ENT
• Ophthalmology
• Urology
• Podiatry
• Vascular Surgery

No:

• Cardiac Cases
• Neurosurgery

Anesthesia Department Overview

• Approximately 250–300 OR cases monthly
• Approximately 20–30 OB cases monthly
• Independent CRNA workflow
• Collaborative perioperative support staff
• Established anesthesia operations and scheduling structure

Procedural Expectations

• Regional Blocks Required
• Epidurals Required
• Comfortable managing varied surgical acuity
• Independent anesthesia delivery and perioperative management

Call Structure

• Weekday Call Rotation: 1:5
• Weekend Call Rotation: 1:7

Candidate Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
• Active Iowa License preferred
• NBCRNA Certified
• ACLS, BLS Required
