Lead EP Technologist

Full-Time Days 4-9's Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm Job Summary And Qualifications As an Electrophysiology (EP) Lead/Cath Lab Technologist, you will demonstrate the knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients served. You will be able to scrub/assist the physician during diagnostic/interventional electrophysiology studies, during pacemaker/ICD implantations, diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies, as well as special procedures. You are also able to record and monitor these cases and understand the hemodynamic measurements and readings. The technologist will also be responsible for training new staff in Electrophysiology. What You Will Do In This Role Train and mentor new EP staff Contribute to the department’s continuous quality improvement efforts. Assist in managing supplies Monitor, record, and report patient symptoms and changes in condition. Assess, plan, and implement care for patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures. Assist physicians by scrubbing/assisting during diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures. Assist physicians during the insertion and removal of devices, such as pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs). React quickly and appropriately to emergency situations during procedures. Communicate pre- and post-procedure education to patients and their families. Provide hemodynamic monitoring assistance during electrophysiology procedures. Prepare patients for examinations or treatments and assist as necessary. Maintain and update knowledge of EP procedures, continuing education as needed to perform daily duties effectively. Uphold the facility’s Standards of Performance and ICARE values.
