Mig Welder$20 - $24hrAs a Welder, you will lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches. You will tack-weld pieces together and apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other welding materials using manual, semi-automatic, or automatic welding equipment.ResponsibilitiesPosition pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.Observe all standard safety practices and maintain and complete all required records.Perform flat fillet welds and fit and weld simple assemblies.Operate automatic welding equipment (robotic welding) and may operate production equipment to cut, punch, or form parts for welding.Lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies.Fit and weld complex assemblies and proficiently perform multiple-pass welding.Essential SkillsMinimum 1 year of experienceAbility to read specifications, shop drawings, and blueprintsProficiency in Mig Welding, Stainless Steel, Hard Wire, and Carbon Steel WeldingUse of measuring tools and inspection gaugesBasic shop math skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to follow directions and maintain a professional work environmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsPass welding testRegular and predictable attendanceAbility to perform all essential functions safely and efficientlyWhy Work Here?Enjoy a comprehensive and competitive employee benefits package, and become part of a team-focused environment that values collaboration and professional growth.Work EnvironmentYou will work in a heavy industrial, steel fabrication, and galvanizing facility that is non-climate controlled.
