Senior 3PL Site Manager - Phoenix Sort Center

Job Description The Senior 3PL Site Manager is an exciting role within our Supply Chain Operations team who will be responsible for overseeing the operational third‑party logistics (3PL) warehouse in Arizona – known as a Sort Center. The leader will serve as the on‑site Nordstrom representative, the main point of contact for the site, while partnering with the 3PL provider to ensure that KPIs and metrics are met and that the relationship with Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack stores, and the 3PL continues to thrive. The role requires a seasoned operational leader who balances near‑term results with long‑term capability building, drives continuous improvement, and manages the flow of inventory throughout the site. It will be based on‑site in Phoenix and reports to the Senior Director West Coast Supply Chain Operations. Responsibilities Program‑manage the Sort Center initiative, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within scope, and on budget. Act as the primary point of contact for Nordstrom and the 3PL, ensuring performance metrics are achieved and maintaining strong relationships with store management, transportation and DC teams. Drive day‑to‑day operations of the 3PL location to ensure efficient freight processing. Develop, track, and report KPIs related to cost, service, capacity, backlog, inventory accuracy, and cycle times for senior leadership. Own financial outcomes of the site, including monthly invoicing, supply‑cost management, and reconciliation with finance partners. Ensure inventory traceability and accuracy and improve outbound costs and service to stores. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement robust internal processes and strengthen the partnership with the 3PL. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies, service, and safety. Ensure the Sort Center adopts future requirements and functionality within the Nordstrom Supply Chain Operations network. Partner with additional Sort Center locations to standardize processes and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Proven experience in project management and leading cross‑functional teams. Strong understanding of 3PL operations and relationship management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic plans. Proficiency in supply chain management software, including TMS, WMS, YMS, and Microsoft Office Suite. Capability to navigate ambiguity, lead independently, and drive enterprise impact. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project‑management skills. Demonstrated success in building operational excellence through data‑driven decisions and analytical insights.
