Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level I trauma experience and circulating experience at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital providing short term acute care
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 shifts per month
• On-call requirement of 24-36 hours per month during day shift
• No floating required outside of scope
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with facility allowed up to 3 call-offs during a 13-week assignment
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Purple scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) currently in hand or pending
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• RQI certifications not accepted

Additional Information

• Must be able to work 2 of the following 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• COVID vaccine is optional but proof of vaccination series or a declination form must be submitted
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Requests for RTO greater than 7 days require approval
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Not open to local candidates within 100 miles of the facility
• A non-local driver's license on file is required
• Contract length is 18 weeks
• A 6-month system break is required after 1 year or 4 consecutive assignments, whichever occurs first
• Former staff must have a 12-month separation before returning
