Hudson Automotive has grown from a single location in Providence, KY to a multistate, multi-franchise organization with over 60 dealerships and more than 4,500 employees throughout 8 States concentrated in the Southeast.Why choose Greensboro Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Hudson Automotive Group?Top CompensationInternal Advancement OpportunitiesYearly PTO that starts accruing day 1 of hireCDJR Experience STRONGLY Preferred!ASE Master Certification Required!Other Benefits we offer:Medical, Dental, Vision InsuranceLife Insurance401k with matchPaid Vacation/HolidaysAccrued PTOEmployee development through training and advancement opportunitiesEmployee discounts on products & servicesBalanced work scheduleQualifications:Should have at least ten years of experience as an automotive technicianSuccessful completion of an automotive training program in a National Automotive TechniciansEducation Foundation (NATEF)-certified high school or community college.Certified by The National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in all eight automotive specialty areas (engine repair, engine performance, heating and air conditioning, electrical systems, automatic transmissions, manual transmission and Driveline, Brakes, Steering and Suspension) is preferred.Certified Master Technician with manufacturer brand preferred.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Diagnoses and repairs vehicles accurately and within a reasonable time frame in accordance with dealership and factory standards.Recruits, interviews, hires, and motivates qualified automotive technicians.Assists technicians in developing their skills and competencies.Perform advanced removal and replacement, and diagnostic work accurately according to daily work orders as received from any manager including: emission control systems; throttle body injection; electrical problems on computerized vehicles; conditions between computer, ignition, and mechanical problems; anti-lock brake systems; cruise control; all non-computerized accessories; drivability problems; on-board computer problems; import fuel injection; import ignition on computerized vehicles; auto transmissions; computerized A/C systems; and four wheel drive internal components.Train members of the service department thoroughly in various vehicle maintenance and repair responsibilities.Ensures that all department employees receive appropriate manufacturer training.Conducts regular performance reviews for all technicians in accordance with dealership guidelines.Ensures that all repairs are assigned to technicians in an equal and fair manner.Provides technical support for technicians when necessary.Ensures repairs are charged out correctly.Checks progress of each repair order throughout the day.Maintains high quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.Road test vehicles to quality check work performedAccounts for all document, ensures that none are missing, and all are processed correctly.Establishes and maintains customer follow-up program to confirm satisfaction with the service experience.Handles all customer complaints within 24 hours, informing other managers as appropriate.Manages department performance using tools such as the daily operating control, efficiency and productivity control, comeback reports, warranty reports, telephone surveys and monthly forecast.Monitors technicians’ daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.Monitors shop condition, including cleanliness, safety, and condition of shop equipment. Reports problems to the Service Manger or dealer.Ensures proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools.Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.Fills in for service advisor and dispatcher when necessary.Attends managers meetings as requested.Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.Complies with federal, state, and local regulations as well as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know regulations and provides necessary training on these regulations and ethical practices.Maintains safe work environment.Maintains professional appearanceOur dealerships have been repeatedly recognized for outstanding customer service and have received Toyotas President's Award, Nissans Global Award, Fords President's Award and the Honda Presidents Award for their dedication to excellence.
