Senior Tax Accountant

DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join a fully remote advisory team serving real estate investors, syndicates, and fund managers. In this role, you will help clients navigate complex tax matters with practical guidance, timely follow-through, and clear communication they can apply with confidence. This position is ideal for a self-directed individual who values accountability, works effectively in an independent environment, and brings strong expertise in real estate taxation.Responsibilities:• Develop customized tax strategies for clients and refine those plans as circumstances, goals, or regulations change.• Analyze intricate tax questions by interpreting applicable tax law and authoritative guidance, then translate findings into sound recommendations.• Partner with tax preparation teams to align advisory plans with return preparation and support client communications throughout filing season.• Maintain strict compliance with industry standards, ethical requirements, and confidentiality expectations in all client engagements.• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on real estate tax matters, including transactions, entity structures, and related accounting considerations.• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments to keep client guidance current and technically accurate.• Contribute to internal initiatives that improve client service, operational effectiveness, proposal development, and team training efforts.• Keep project records, client notes, and workflow details accurate and current within established management processes.• Identify opportunities to introduce additional firm services that support client needs, such as bookkeeping or ongoing tax advisory support.Requirements• Demonstrated experience preparing or reviewing individual and corporate tax returns.• Strong background in tax preparation within a public accounting or advisory environment.• Advanced knowledge of real estate taxation, including entities, transactions, and planning considerations.• Proficiency with CCH ProSystem or CCH ProSystem fx software.• Ability to research complex tax issues and support conclusions with authoritative sources.• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a remote, self-managed setting.• Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical tax concepts to clients in practical terms.Job typePerm
