Network Security Engineer

We are working with a healthcare organization seeking a senior-level network security professional to design, secure, and optimize complex hybrid network environments. The role focuses on Fortinet technologies, Azure network security, secure connectivity, automation, and strategic network architecture within a highly regulated environment.POSITION TITLE: Senior Network Security EngineerLOCATION: Dallas, TX (Hybrid/Remote)SALARY: $130,000 - $155,000RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, implement, and support secure network infrastructure across on-premises and Azure environments, including firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs, and network segmentation.Administer and optimize the Fortinet security ecosystem, including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, SD-WAN, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP solutions, while managing upgrades, security patches, and platform health.Configure and maintain Azure network security controls, including Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, and Private Endpoints to support secure hybrid connectivity.Automate network security operations and configuration management using tools such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, and REST APIs to improve efficiency and consistency.Monitor network performance and security events, troubleshoot complex connectivity and security issues, maintain network architecture documentation, and provide technical guidance to engineering team members.
