Interprets and evaluates the analyses in terms of accuracy and precision and recommends corrective action where necessary. Applies existing techniques and procedures, providing recommendations for improved efficiency when applicable. Performs qualitative tests or quantitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from use of standard analytical methodology to highly modern and automated instrumentation. May perform one or more of the following techniques: general microscopy, microbial characterization, water microbial, product bioburden, bacterial endotoxin quantification, and others as assigned.Work ModeAt Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.RelocationRelocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.VISABoston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time.Your responsibilities will include:Receive and log in test samples via laboratory information management software.Conducts general laboratory support functions such as reviewing inventory, ordering, and receiving supplies; support of continuous laboratory cleanliness; collecting, washing, and storing glassware.Performs a variety of technical support functions such as performing basic equipment preventive maintenance; preparing routine solutions and reagents; and assisting in general equipment/process troubleshooting activities.Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and prepares data for evaluation.Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.Participates in lab continuous improvement activities to drive lean culture and improve the overall quality function of the lab.Assists in investigations related to testing, which may include ownership of NCEPs and CAPAs in eCAPA.Performs routine tests in accordance with established procedures and documents the results electronically or on standard forms.Required qualifications:2 years of experience with High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience, training, or apprenticeshipsPreferred qualifications:Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experienceFamiliarity with Microsoft Office suite applications.Experience working in microbiology and/or regulated laboratories.Familiarity with Graduated cylinder, tinsnips, scissors, taking measurements.Previous experience in executing:Sample receiptBacterial Endotoxin testingBioburden testing (Aseptic techniques)Requisition ID: 634780Minimum Salary: $ 43368Maximum Salary: $ 73736The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
