Quality InspectorLocation: MPP, Rockwood, TNStatus: Non-Exempt (Hourly)Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM – 12:00 AMJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting parts at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity and ensuring customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect in-process components and finished products to ensure compliance with specificationsPerform visual and mechanical inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, and comparatorsAccurately document inspection results and maintain quality recordsIdentify, reject, and quarantine non-conforming materials; initiate corrective actions as neededRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentationConduct first article, in-process, and final inspectionsCollaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processesEnsure inspection and testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintainedParticipate in internal audits and support external audits as requiredMaintain adherence to company quality, safety, and housekeeping standardsQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environmentProficiency with inspection tools and measuring equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic computer skills; experience with quality systems or ERP software is a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred:Technical certification or vocational training in manufacturing or qualityFamiliarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certificationKnowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram)Why Join Us?We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). #J-18808-Ljbffr
