We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our team in Farmington, NM.Position Overview: The Cardiac Echo Sonographer will be responsible for performing echocardiogram procedures on patients and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This individual will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information to aid in patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac ultrasound and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Perform echocardiogram procedures on patients according to established protocols and standardsObtain and record patient history and pertinent clinical informationPrepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safetyOperate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standardsAnalyze and interpret images to identify abnormalities and provide accurate diagnostic informationCommunicate findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals in a timely and professional mannerMaintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentialityParticipate in quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient careKeep abreast of new developments and techniques in cardiac ultrasound and participate in continuing education to maintain knowledge and skillsQualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related fieldARDMS certification in Adult EchocardiographyMinimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Echo SonographerStrong knowledge and understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathologyProficient in operating and troubleshooting ultrasound equipmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentDetail-oriented and able to maintain accurate patient recordsCurrent BLS certificationMust be able to pass a background check and drug screeningWorking Conditions: The Cardiac Echo Sonographer will work full-time, 40 hours per week, in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The position may require occasional evening or weekend shifts, as well as on-call availability.
