Production Specialist

Experienced Field Production Technician

Datamax Texas is seeking an experienced Field Production Technician to join our service team in Coppell, TX. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-volume production print equipment at customer locations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical, electrical, and networking skills and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and repair production print equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and network-related issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
• Install firmware, drivers, and software updates as needed.
• Configure network connectivity, IP addressing, and print solutions.
• Accurately document service calls, repairs, parts usage, and customer interactions.
• Educate customers on proper equipment operation and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of service parts and company tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
• Represent Datamax professionally while providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience servicing production print equipment or multifunction devices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, networking, and software environments.
• Experience with Windows operating systems and network connectivity.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service territory.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift equipment and parts weighing up to 75 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Canon Production Print certification is an advantage; Canon Titan Production certification a plus.
• Trane certification or comparable advanced technical certification is a plus.
• Experience with production print workflows, Fiery controllers, and color management is preferred.

Schedule

Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Additional hours or overtime may be required based on customer needs.
