Base Pay $28.85 - $29.13 / Hour Job Category Counselors Employee Type Temp Full Time Required Degree 4 Year Degree Hours 40 hours per week with rotating weekend shifts Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm OR Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm (9 hours) and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8 hours), off every other Friday Duration 3 months, depending on program needs As a Counselor I, you will... Our Intensive Mobile Psychosocial Assertive Community Treatment (Downtown IMPACT, IMPACT , Senior IMPACT, and South Bay IMPACT) programs provide intensive, community-based case management services for homeless adults throughout San Diego County. We deliver fully-integrated services to clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance disorders. Our program utilizes the evidence-based practice of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) to support our clients in the higher level of community care and to assist them in reaching their goals and living a life that is not dominated by mental illness. Our team is a model of care, providing treatment, rehabilitation, and case management supports. CRF staff members work together to meet the needs of San Diego County’s residents who are experiencing mental/behavioral health challenges. Education Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required Additional Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential This program is housed in a two-story building that does have an elevator; however, ability to navigate stairs may be required. A valid California driver’s license in good standing, personal vehicle, proof of insurance and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver are required to fulfill the essential functions of this position Ability to pass criminal/background clearance Summary Meets the bio-psychosocial needs of clients by providing indicated behavioral health services, case management services and/or crisis intervention, and bills and documents services appropriately. Works with individuals to assist them in accessing appropriate support services and entitlements, medical care, community resources, and family support systems in an effort to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation. Includes rotating weekend and evening hours for field visits as required by contract.
