MRI Technologist

MRI TechnologistRAYUS Radiology is looking for a MRI Technologist to join our team. As a MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.This is a part-time role working every other Friday 12:30 PM-10:30 PM and every other Saturday and Sunday 2:30PM-10:30PM.Essential Duties And Responsibilities(90%) Patient MRI ImagingScreens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedureExplains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scannedPerforms routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedureAdjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as neededFollows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team membersMaintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each useMaintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements(5%) MRI Department SupportAssists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgradesMonitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessaryAssists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable(5%) Completes other tasks as assignedThe pay range for this position is $32.00- $52.00 based on direct and relevant experience.Required:High School diploma, or equivalentGraduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiographyARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business needLicensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicableCurrent Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationMust have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independentlyCertification in imaging specialtyPreferred:BilingualRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
