Responsibilities
- Act as the RNFA during ambulatory surgery procedures, assisting the surgeon with tissue handling, suturing, clamping, hemostasis, and instrument selection while maintaining sterile technique.
- Conduct preoperative assessment and planning, monitor patient status intraoperatively, and support patient safety throughout the procedure.
- Manage instrument and supply readiness, maintain accurate counts, and help ensure efficient room turnover between cases.
- Document intraoperative events and postoperative instructions, and coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams to optimize patient comfort and outcomes.
- May float to the affiliated main operating room as needed; participate in on-call coverage as required.
- Provide clear postoperative education and discharge instructions in alignment with facility policies.

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (conditional licenses accepted per job notes)
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an RNFA
- Certifications: CNOR, ACLS, BLS
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting preferred
- Ability to work in an outpatient surgery center environment and to float to an affiliated main OR as needed
- COVID-19 vaccination with booster (no exemptions)
