Position Summary

The Food Runner- Ocean Grill plays an essential role in delivering a seamless dining experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor setting, and maintain the grace and professionalism synonymous with The Setai. This individual ensures timely and accurate delivery of food orders, supports servers, and helps uphold the highest standards of guest service and presentation.

Essential Job Functions

• Exemplifies commitment to The Setai's mission of Total Guest Satisfaction.
• Consistently offers professional, friendly and warm hospitality to all guests.
• Explains the menu in detail including any changes or specialties of the day.
• Exhibits excellent knowledge of menu items and has ability to offer enticing descriptions.
• Intelligently answers guests' questions concerning ingredients, preparation methods, etc., especially as pertains to food allergies.
• Delivers food to guest tables demonstrating evident care and professionalism.
• Ensures that tables are completely and properly set before each course is served.
• Takes inventory of chinaware, glassware and flatware before and after each shift.
• Continually communicates needed information to servers and other restaurant staff.
• Checks side stations to ensure they are prepared before each shift.
• Attends daily briefings, meetings and training as required
• Reports to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a food runner or busser in a fine dining or luxury hotel environment highly preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional service.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Must have valid authorization to work in the United States.
