Mechanic/Millwright

Responsibilities Perform mechanical duties on equipment as instructed Disassemble, assemble and test equipment at the direction of the Workshop Manager Perform fabrication of lightweight apparatus and/or structures used in the maintenance of equipment Interface with project management, engineers, technical personnel and other staff as needed to complete projects Perform housekeeping and maintenance activities as required Provide any additional support where needed Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Job Qualifications Prefer a minimum of three years of experience with refurbishment / reconditioning on parts in a job shop or similar environment Knowledge of and prior experience in disassembly and assembly of mechanical parts is required Knowledge of and prior experience in the use of hand and power tools is required Ability to read prints and drawings is required Knowledge of machining and fabrication methods preferred Knowledge of and prior experience in overhead crane and lift trucks, including hoisting and rigging techniques preferred Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic & piping systems preferred Knowledge of electrical systems (wiring motors and small panels) preferred Ability to follow step-by-step procedures with accuracy is required Candidate must have good interpersonal and communication skills Education Requirements: Vocational or High School; Specialized Technical Training and/or on the job experience (preferred) Physical Demands Remain in a standing or walking position for extended periods of time Stoop, kneel, crouch and bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis Lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception Schedule Full-Time, 8-hour shift Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, with 30 minutes for lunch What We Offer Medical / dental / vision coverage, company paid life insurance, paid vacation, 10 paid holidays per year, 401K with company match, a tuition reimbursement program and more!
