ILSP Youth Specialist (Bilingual)

ILSP Youth Specialist (Bilingual) Location: First Place for Youth, San Francisco, California. About the Role Support foster youth in transition to adulthood by helping them achieve educational and employment goals through intensive, bilingual case management and community partnership. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain trusting relationships with high school students and community partners. Provide bilingual intake support and conduct individual case management meetings. Assist youth in securing employment through job fairs, interviews, applications, and resume preparation. Coach on career exploration, job retention, and handling work‑related issues. Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, GED services, colleges, and vocational schools. Provide counseling on financial aid and assist with application processes. Coordinate with community service providers to ensure employment plans are followed. Coach self‑advocacy and self‑confidence for self‑employment and transition. Translate and facilitate workshops on vocational, educational, and career topics. Document case notes, actions, goals, and maintain accurate data for program evaluation. Attend weekly program meetings, monthly agency staff meetings, and supervision with the SF ILSP Manager. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in education or related field preferred. Fluency in Spanish required (reading, writing, and speaking). At least three years of experience working with at‑risk youth, preferably foster youth. One year of experience in youth career development and job placement. Strong knowledge of education and employment resources in the Bay Area. Experience with asset‑based relationship building and motivating youth. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer skills: proficiency with MS Office suite; database experience preferred. Must pass a Community Care Licensing background check.
