Accounts Payable Supervisor – Sacramento, CA The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, employee expenses and payroll. The role manages a team of AP clerks, monitors vendor relationships, and implements process improvements. Key Responsibilities Oversee accounts payable workflow, ensuring all vendor invoices, expense reports and payroll checks are processed accurately and timely. Lead a team of AP clerks, providing coaching, training and performance feedback. Maintain accurate accounting ledgers and reconcile vendor statements, monthly and quarterly. Coordinate with purchasing, finance and operations to resolve invoice discrepancies, obtain approvals and enforce payment terms. Monitor cash flow, schedule payments and optimize discount opportunities. Prepare and submit tax filings such as sales tax on paid invoices. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with corporate financial policies. Maintain historical documentation and electronic records, ensuring proper filing and retention. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and educational opportunities related to AP processes.
