Warehouse Route Driver Warehouse Route Driver I, II, or Senior level. Employee level and pay depend on experience, knowledge, and capabilities. Summary The Warehouse Route Driver is responsible for delivering products to/from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and company suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required). They ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements efficiently and that materials are correct and free of damage. Schedule and Compensation This position runs Monday through Friday from 3:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A $1,500 sign‑on bonus is offered, and weekends are off. Responsibilities Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report. Keep company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; alert supervisor of required repairs or service. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local and state driving laws and regulations. Load or unload vehicle and ensure all material for each order is correct (quantity and type) and free of damage before departure. Assist in preparing orders for delivery. Ensure all appropriate documentation (delivery receipt signed by customer, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest) is thoroughly completed at time of delivery. Pick up material returns from customers; inspect condition and verify quantities and catalog numbers. Pick up material from company suppliers. Senior truck driver may assist in training and mentoring entry‑level truck drivers. Support other warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material. Perform other duties as assigned. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must pass a pre‑employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record. Must obtain verification of a non‑expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire. Must not have had a suspended driver’s license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years. Must not have any at‑fault accidents in the past 3 years. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW. Handle basic issues and problems. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws. Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills; ability to meet deadlines. Excellent customer service skills. Good attention to detail. Ability to work overtime as needed. Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment – Occasionally – up to 20%. Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co‑workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions – Constantly – at least 51%. Pay and Benefits For the state of Colorado only, the pay is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Commission/Bonus Plan: CSC Plan.
