Handyman Technician (1099)

Job Description

Lone Star Facility Management LLC, a Texas-based provider of residential and commercial property maintenance and repair services expanding into Ohio, is seeking a reliable Handyman Technician (1099) to serve commercial properties, residential properties, and a mixed portfolio. Working independently within a local service area and nearby cities, technicians receive assignments through centralized dispatch and supervisor direction, coordinate by phone and email, and document completed work through a mobile work-order application. Successful technicians may advance to lead technician responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Complete property repairs and routine maintenance for commercial and residential properties.
Install and repair fixtures.
Perform carpentry, drywall repairs, and painting.
Complete plumbing and electrical repairs.
Conduct site inspections and identify required repairs or maintenance.
Manage assigned work orders through centralized dispatch, phone and email coordination, and a mobile work-order application.
Respond to routine service requests and emergency service calls.
Communicate proactively with customers and the dedicated supervisor.
Maintain clean, safe jobsites and complete cleanup after work.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in handyman maintenance and repair.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience with carpentry, drywall repair, painting, plumbing repair, electrical repair, and fixture installation.
Work-order management experience.
Strong customer service, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
