About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Washington state license in hand required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT Must-Have: - Previous experience in a charge role preferred. - Proficiency in charting systems. - Experience with pediatrics and adolescents preferred. Description: This is a block position for a Respiratory Therapist. The role requires floating between units. Weekends are required, specifically every other weekend. Block scheduling is mandatory. The expected patient care ratio is 1:11. Candidates must possess current Washington state licensure. RRTs will engage with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Responsibilities include setup and management of aerosol therapies, mechanical ventilation weaning, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms. Candidates should be familiar with various respiratory equipment and protocols. Experience with trauma care, particularly in a Level II or Level I facility, is preferred. Providers may be required to float to nearby facilities as necessary. This role engages with a comprehensive interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care. Additional certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and RRT are mandatory.
