About This Role

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead a cohesive teaching team, develop and implement curriculum, and manage daily classroom operations while creating a safe and stimulating environment that fosters children's growth and development. Effective communication with children, adults, and parents is crucial to meet the needs of the children, guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive educational curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, leading to engaging and enriching experiences for children.
• Lead by example and empower teaching team members to achieve success through coaching, mentoring, and guidance.
• Design and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth, while encouraging active participation from children.
• Establish and maintain regular communication with parents through reports, conferences, and informal discussions to keep them informed and engaged.
• Ensure adherence to all center policies, state regulations, and standards of excellence.
• Maintain a clean and healthy classroom environment, adhering to hygiene and safety standards, and ensuring the well-being of children.
• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure they follow established procedures and standards.
• Accurately maintain records, files, and forms to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.

• Minimum of 30 credits in early childhood education or related field of study from an Associate’s Degree
• Fluent Spanish language skills, including reading, writing, and speaking proficiency
• At least 2 years of professional experience in childcare
• Strong communication skills in Spanish and basic computer skills
• High energy and ability to collaborate with colleagues, children, and parents, fostering a positive team environment
• A deep understanding of child development principles
• Pass a thorough background check and meet health screening requirements
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including frequent walking, hand use, object manipulation, and verbal communication
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Hold current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
