Registered Nurse (RN) Night Supervisor Job Summary

Rose View Rehab and Care Center is seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Night Supervisor to join our dedicated healthcare team. This position provides clinical leadership and nursing oversight during the overnight shift in our long-term care and rehabilitation facility.

The RN Night Supervisor will oversee nursing operations, support and supervise nursing staff, monitor resident care, respond to clinical concerns and emergencies, and help ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable regulations. Key responsibilities include providing clinical guidance, assessing changes in resident condition, coordinating admissions and transfers as needed, reviewing clinical documentation, and promoting safe, high-quality resident care.

Registered Nurse (RN) Night Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide clinical support to nursing staff during the overnight shift.
• Oversee resident care and ensure nursing services are delivered safely and in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Assess and monitor residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Respond to clinical emergencies, provide hands-on nursing support, and communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and other resident care needs that arise during the shift.
• Review and ensure the completion of accurate clinical documentation, medication records, and nursing notes in Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with infection control practices, resident rights, HIPAA requirements, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Communicate significant resident or staffing concerns to the appropriate members of the management and interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor staffing needs and assist with resolving staffing or clinical issues during the overnight shift.
• Promote a professional, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
• Provide compassionate communication and support to residents and families when needed.

Registered Nurse (RN) Night Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited, state-approved Registered Nursing (RN) program.
• Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Current BLS and CPR certifications required.
• Previous supervisory, management, or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, Subacute, or Acute Care setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of nursing standards, clinical procedures, medication administration, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations applicable to long-term care and skilled nursing facilities.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems and clinical documentation.
• Strong leadership, clinical assessment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively to emergencies during the overnight shift.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to resident-centered care.

Shift: Night Shift | 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
