Chaplain Part Time - Northern Colorado - Bilingual Spanish Speaking Required

Position Summary Chaplains serve as frontline staff who fulfill the Christian ministry of MCHAP. They use their gifts and talents to support company employees and their immediate families. The role is part‑time, based in the Northern Colorado area (Loveland, Fort Collins, Longmont, Greeley, and North Denver). Responsibilities Serve as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose. Interact with companies, their employees, and the community with personal and spiritual discipline. Make brief visits to company worksites regularly (usually weekly) to build relationships of trust and friendship. Visit employees or family members at hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, residences, or other sites to provide support. Offer confidential pastoral discussions for personal or family issues such as divorce, illness, death, grief, parenting, financial stress, and other life challenges. Provide referral services and coordinate specialized assistance where needed. Assist in planning, conducting, or attending funerals; offer follow‑up support and encouragement to grieving families. Conduct jail visits for employees or family members when requested. Support companies in notifying families of death and serious injuries, offering comfort to impacted employees. Provide post‑termination care for laid‑off or terminated employees to facilitate smooth transition. Facilitate, but not lead, spiritual enrichment activities, encouraging employee‑sponsored events. Distribute literature and resources to assist employees with life issues. Represent companies to clients or customers during serious incidents, where ministry services may be relevant. Participate in new employee orientation to explain the Employee Care Service and the role of the Chaplain Team. With Executive Director of Operations (EDO) permission, respond positively to additional duties requested by company leadership within the scope of the Letter of Agreement. Requirements Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary and interfaith team, accepting diverse lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values. Strong listening skills; effective communication with clients, employees, families, and staff under stress; high regard for the dignity and worth of all individuals. Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle aligned with MCHAP’s ministry values; understanding of the Holy Bible and a saving faith in Jesus Christ; active participation in a biblically based church. Diplomatic, patient, courteous professional interaction with diverse groups; ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships and provide exceptional customer service. Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to maintain emotional stability when dealing with human suffering and emergencies. Analytical skills to define problems or objectives and follow up; ability to identify solutions and enforce policies and procedures. Computer proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, or equivalent software; quick learner in new technology programs. Active state driver’s license and required auto insurance in the state(s) where clients are serviced. Additional Conditions Applicants must pass a pre‑employment background check. Work Environment This is a field position.
