Shift Details:

• 12-hours

• Minimum of 2 shifts per week or as needed

• Nights, Weekends and Holidays

Nursing Specialty: RN – Med/Surg

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Providing direct care to diverse adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, which include pre- or post-operative care following surgery or the management of acute and chronic renal disease.

• Responsible for assessing patients, administering medications and treatments, educating patients and families, and coordinating care with healthcare teams.

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

**Minimum Qualifications **

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of one (1) year experience as RN in acute care setting in a Level 1 Trauma institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population.

• AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS, NIHSS Certification,

• MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City),

• Completion of the LA County Employee Health Clearance prior to the assignment start date.

• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
