**Required Experience, Skills, and Certifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience required specifically in Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). - Traveler Experience: Unit will not accept first-time travelers. - Experience with vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, post neurosurgery management, care of ventilated patients, isolation precautions/use of PPE, lumbar drain experience. - Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), NIH (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale). **Preferred Skills:** - Arterial line management. **Licensure:** - NC or Compact license pending is okay for submission. **Additional Requirements:** - Strong neuro experience is mandatory with experience specifically in stroke patient management. - Must have passed EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty. - Candidates must be open to floating within/near facility as per the job description. - Must complete pre-start modules conducted online, using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, before starting and annually (time non-billable and separate from orientation hours). **Unit Details:** - Patient population includes strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used include EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring). **Charting System Experience:** - Required experience with Epic charting system.
