LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver hands-on patient care within our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you’ll provide direct bedside care, administer medications, monitor patient status, and document in the EHR while collaborating closely with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary teams. You’ll support individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and uphold strict safety and infection control standards. Key Responsibilities Provide direct bedside care to patients under RN and provider supervision Administer medications and treatments per Mercy policies and scope of practice Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition using EHR systemsPerform wound care, specimen collection, and basic diagnostic support tasks Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans Maintain infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff huddles Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes Uphold Mercy’s culture of compassion, diversity, and respect in all interactions Patient assessment Vital signs monitoring Medication administration Wound care IV therapy (where allowed) EHR/documentation Care planning support Patient and family education Infection control Clinical triage Benefits and Perks Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in state of practice BLS (Basic Life Support) certification IV therapy certification where required or applicable Experience with common EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Stryker Corporation
