Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in the Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular in San Antonio, Texas. This position involves supporting cardiovascular cases within the Critical Care Unit and provides opportunities for experienced RNs to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Candidates are required to bring their active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Active Texas RN license; 2 or more years of ICU experience; ACLS, BLS certifications.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have experience with Hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and strong critical thinking skills. Procedural support for post-coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), post-ventricular assist device (VAD), and post-cardiac catheterization with various cardiac support devices is required. Candidates will be trained on CVICU devices to support cardiovascular cases.
• Documentation system: Meditech.
• Required Skills: Hemodynamic monitoringswans, art lines; ventilator management; ICU experience; ACLS; BLS; NIH (National Institutes of Health) required.
• Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills: IABP exposure, CRRT exposure, Meditech charting/order entry.
• Required Certifications: ACTIVE Texas RN License, NO TEMP LICENSES accepted.
• Procedures performed on unit include post-CABG, post-VAD, post-cardiac cath with cardiac support devices such as IABP, Impella, ECMO.
• Dress Code: Navy scrub top and pants or Navy/white scrub jacket; neat, clean hair; body art covered as appropriate; no visible piercings other than ears.
• Other Guidelines: Floating policies as specified; attendance and punctuality required; badge in/out required; full 30-minute lunch break.
• Start date: July 6, 2026.
